Marju Randlane works as a translator at the International Centre for Defence Studies. Marju translates the documents written by the researchers of the Centre and the articles published in the monthly newsletter Diplomaatia from Estonian into English and vice versa. In addition to that her tasks include updating the English version of the Centre’s homepage.

Marju studied sociology at the University of Tartu in 1996-2001. She proceeded with her studies in the field of semiotics and culturology. She graduated in 2004, having obtained a BA degree in sociology and an MA degree in semiotics. After that she worked as a freelance translator. In 2010, she worked for six months as a translator at the Estonian Translation Unit of the European Parliament in Luxembourg.

Marju was born on the 26th of September 1978 in Tartu, Estonia.
